An assortment of tea

My favorite teas…..so far

When I started my blog in January my first article was on Gratitude and having three things to be thankful for everyday, no matter how insignificant. One of the things I was always grateful for on my early mornings was tea, especially a Starbucks Chai Latte and so my tea journey began.

My tea journey

My blog is not exclusively about tea but tea surely accompanies all of my life. Recently I have been asked about my favorite tea. Wow-there’s no way to choose that! I can say why I like a certain tea or who I think may like a certain one etc.

Finding Tea-my scientific method

Many teas on my tea journey were found through the scientific method of liking a tea container or name (it hasn’t failed me yet). So here are my thoughts on teas I have tried and liked so far. I hope you’d like to try some too.

It may take some time to go back through my blog and read about all of the teas but the links will be highlighted if you want to check that particular article out in further detail. Here are some of my thoughts.

Teas

PG-Tips

This is my first cup of black tea or two every morning. It is a milky cup of PG Tips, without sugar. It is also many an afternoon tea too. It is my perfect tea ritual. I love this tea-always have. My hot tea drinking daughter adds sugar and milk-to each their own. Tea should always be the way you prefer to have it.

David’s Tea

Buddha’s Blend-chosen for the packaging and name. Wow what a taste! Very fruity. I am so glad I found David’s Tea for so many different teas but especially Buddha’s Blend. I started Buddha’s blend as sachets thinking it was loose leaf tea but now use loose tea. It is great either way.

Pumpkin Chai-This is a true taste of the fall. It was a wonderful gift from my non hot tea drinking daughter. I take this with me for my afternoon tea at work.

Pomegranate Green tea

Tea in a glass cup, tissue box and thermometer

My favorite Pomegranate green tea is my local grocery store brand-keeps sickness at bay. That and Vicks Vapor Rub go hand in hand in my book. A few friends of mine like to add some sugar or honey but I like it plain.

Stash Tea

Stash Tea-The Portland Blend teal eaves

Portland Blend is a rainy day or any day yummy tea. I added milk but you don’t have to. It was a gift given to my mother on an Alaskan cruise I just had to try.

I tried the Heather and Forest fruit a lovely mild fruity tea. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Have I scratched the tea surface?

Not even a little bit. I am excited to continue to discover so many more teas as my tea adventure continues.

Teas I haven’t even written about

No I’m not holding out on you but there are teas I drink and love that I haven’t written about yet but I’m sure I will. David’s Tea Cream of Earl Grey is a high contender. There are also tea’s I haven’t written about and don’t exactly love so…..let’s just leave it at that.

Things to suggest

Drink tea the way you like it, milk, honey, lemon, sugar or plain.

Don’t be afraid to try a new tea.

Loose tea is not scary.

Samples and sampler sets are a good place to start.

Gratitude

So finally all these months later what 3 things am I grateful for today?

I am grateful that I have had support from my family with my blog endeavors.

I am grateful that I have tried so many new teas and still appreciate the old.

I am grateful for you.

Keep enjoying yummy tea. Let me know if you try a new one.
