Cup of Numi Chocolate Pu-erh with the tea package and individual packet

Chocolate Pu-erh by NUMI yes please!

I feel as though I have been cheating on you. OK maybe just one or two-possibly three dates-I have been sneaking in some yummy teas that I have not written about. Well here I am to catch you up as seriously you should not miss out on this one. My latest absolute go to was a gift from my work Secret Santa and boy did she find a perfect tea for me! Chocolate Pu-erh by NUMI.

Work, tea and a pandemic

Mornings for me include two cups of tea before I head out the door. The pandemic however has messed with my morning ritual of using my Starbucks app, placing a chai latte order and running in to grab it on my way to work. My local Starbucks drive thru is completely in the other direction and although I would love to grab my chai there I would NEVER make it to work on time. So for now a home brewed flask of PG Tips accompanies me every morning. If I get to work and realize my flask of tea is still on my kitchen counter it is true heartbreak!

Masks, hand sanitizer and tea

There are a few fleeting moments at work in the afternoon that I truly look forward to. It’s when I am alone, I can hand sanitize, take off my mask (or leave it dangling from my ear) and have the chance to enjoy another yummy cup of tea. One particular day there was no caffeine in sight but by divine intervention I received my gift from my Secret Santa.

Top notch tea reviewers

My trusty reviewers, my husband and my hot tea drinking daughter agree with me that this is an absolute yummy tea. This is one I would definitely recommend, my second order has already arrived.

Small choices add up to big change.

The packaging for this tea states that each purchase of NUMI tea supports Together for Hope. This is a non profit organization that provides farming communities around the world clean drinking water and sanitation.

The website

According to their website this company is run by a brother and sister. The site mentioned how they believe in taking care of our global family and planet. They also have an area on their site called Wake Up Wednesday. This says that tea is a gift, a time to pause, reset and change our perception. It  shares thoughts on how to help us wake up more refreshed and purposeful.

I don’t know about you but my Wednesdays do not always make me feel refreshed and purposeful so I thought-why not- and added Wake Up Wednesday to my Instagram.

I hope that your tea this week will bring you some time to pause and reset.
