Variety is the Spice of Life-DAVID’S Top 12 Tea Sampler

Delving into the rabbit hole in search of the Mad Hatter and tea, I accidentally found DAVID’S TEA during a trip to Chicago. More specifically I found Buddha’s Blend by DAVID’S TEA and only because I liked the name. When I tried Buddha’s Blend  I LOVED IT and excitedly wanted to try other teas by them. As there are no DAVID’S TEA in the area I went straight to their website. It was full of yummy teas but which ones should I try? They all sounded wonderful. Then I found it, DAVID’s Top 12 Tea Sampler.

Why the Sampler

I chose the sampler as it would definitely give me choices of teas I have never tried before without having to pay a ton, especially if I did not like a certain tea. So variety and cost were the deciding factors.

Amazon does not carry every DAVID’s TEA but it does have quite a few and it carried DAVID’s Top 12 Tea Sampler with Prime shipping. One of the reasons I love Prime with Amazon is the free shipping so I primed again.

It arrived!! I must admit I was so excited to get the DAVID’s Top 12 Tea Sampler and it did not disappoint. The packaging was so cute with blue and gold flecks.

This would easily be perfect for a gift for any tea lover in your life. As I opened the box I was hit with an amazing smell of all the combined teas. Each of the 12 teas came in small silver containers that have clear lids to easily see each tea. The name of each tea was on the bottom of the tin. There’s even a description booklet about each tea.

Trying the tea

My Teabloom glass teapot was suddenly in full action to make the various teas. I enjoyed all of the smells and colors in my 5 minute brews. My husband, my hot tea drinking youngest child and I decided to try them to see which ones we liked and then compared them. There’s even an iced tea one so my older daughter could enjoy it too.

At first I hoped I would be able to make 2 pots full of tea with the amount provided from each container but I realized for a pot serving 3, I really needed the whole thing. You would definitely be able to stretch your money if you are only making for 1 or 2 people or prefer weaker tea.

Favorites

I do have my favorites and my husband and children do too. I have taken notes describing each one, who likes which one and why? We have not gone through them all but here are some of our favorites so far: Buddha’s Blend (big surprise), Strawberry Rhubarb parfait, the skinny, Cream of Earl Grey. The list keeps growing every day.
