Many people say tea is the way I stay charged everyday. It’s true, my day starts with a yummy cup of milky PG Tips in one hand and my iPhone in the other. Sometimes my phone seems like an extension of my hand. I use it for everything. One day my husband came home and gave me a gift. Was it flowers, jewelry or chocolate? Nope inside the amazon package was a Jackery block charger. Umm Honey, random much?
My iPhone Uses
My phone is my alarm and snooze (the snooze may possibly bit hit more than once). “What’s the weather like outside” every morning to Siri is an invaluable feature, as you never know for sure in Texas what the weather is going to be, freezing one minute to boiling the next. The family calendar is on my phone. Without it I would be lost, who is where, when? My Fitbit for my 10,000 step challenge with friends and the massive group text that accompanies it is synced to my phone. My Blog notes, camera, email, internet, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter are mostly checked on my phone. Most important of all of these is MY STARBUCKS APP! Everything I need for the day is on one easy device.
Then I get to work and see it.

Life’s little mysteries
You know the mystery of the socks in a dryer. I put a pair in and one sock returns. Well the same thing happened to my phone chargers. I have or should I say have had many chargers over time. One by one they have slowly disappeared. I had the most sacred charger of all in my car for my GPS and then one day like magic, poof it was gone. The funny part is no one knew where it went. It’s kind of like the mystery of my missing favorite jacket that a certain teen wore one day that has never been seen again. Ah, the mystery of why my husband got the block charger could be solved, is he covering for someone or maybe he’s just tired of me complaining about my lack of chargers.
My Jackery Block Charger-Travel De-stresser
On a college trip to ChicagoI realized how much easier I have found traveling due to my block charger. In the airport alone it was a blessing. No more griping over available outlets or sitting at the only seat with the dud plug.
After using my phone for absolutely everything all day I had no concern about my charge as I listened to a few podcasts and music on the plane.
In the hotel room my block charger charged 2 phones at once and kept itself charged.
Now Chicago is a big city and we knew our destinations when we got there but that was about it. I relied heavily on my phone for directions, Google Maps for location of train stations as well as times of the L. The block charger kept my phone alive making my navigation more enjoyable and stress free. There was no concern whether I needed an outlet to plug in my phone as we visited college campuses and also got to see the sights.

My block charger does not only have enough charge for one phone but multiple. I can charge mine and then pass it on. It charges my phone really fast. It stays charged for days. I can still use it and be mobile. It even has a light. As you can tell I love it.
Safety
As a Mum my children’s safety is always on my mind. My girls are teenagers and school trips and travel plans do not only happen all over the big state of Texas but out of state as well. I have given them both block chargers as gifts. If they have their charged block charger with them at least I can text them without the excuse their phone died. Now the text may be one of my usual ones for school trips.

“Good”
Well at least it’s a text.
After that I have to pry every single question about roomies and so on out of them, but at least the phone’s battery is charged and I can reach my kiddos-but more importantly they can reach me.
The Mystery continues-My Block Charger is MIA
It’s strange that sometimes I go to get my block charger and it’s gone. I send a few texts to be informed (usually by my non hot tea drinking kiddo) that she has taken mine instead of hers. The location of her block charger in exchange? It’s in the black hole known as her room. No one wants to go in there!
So at that point I am left with a 2 choices. I could borrow my friends charger at work again or take my husbands. It’s usually number 2.
So to sum it all up, I really do love my block charger. It was the perfect gift.
A note to my own children:
So keep your Mum less stressed girls. Keep a block charger charged and with you. Even if it’s mine.
