Black Berry Sage Tea and a little bit of wisdom

The other day I was doing some essential shopping in natural grocers. I hope you have one near you because they have a great bunch of teas. Every time I’m in there I always hit the tea aisle. My husband says I get sidetracked-I just believe the tea pulls me that way. Just like my beloved World Market (that I am currently ordering online) I always manage to leave Natural Grocers with a new tea in hand. My latest tea seemed delicious by the name- Blackberry Sage by the Republic of Tea. It says it’s the tea for wisdom.

Blackberry Sage-Yum!

Growing up in England I had a great blackberry bush in my back garden and I would pick and eat blackberries all the time. Currently here in central Texas we have a bunch of potted herbs growing in my garden-sage being one of my favorites. What could smell or taste better? This sounded like a truly yummy combo.

I have tried Republic of Tea before with their Root to Petal Cascara Grape Tea and really enjoyed it. There is a huge variety of their teas and the canisters are usually easy to find. The canister for this tea stated that this is a black tea with an herb blend. It has 50 natural unbleached tea bags.

Wisdom of tea

On the side of the packaging it states

“With a single sip the cloud of busy mind is made to pass and the light of life breaks through to show us what we have kept concealed from ourselves all along”

I thought this was pretty awesome. I was ready to try it.

Our Thoughts

I’m a teapot girl so I went with that option 2 teabags to a measure 12 oz with my kitchen kite glass teapot. This set accompanies 4 small glass cups-the perfect size. I let it brew for 5 minutes. I assembled my trusty crew together again-my husband, hot tea drinking daughter and myself. This tea to me will be a great tea to sip and get lost in my thoughts. It’s also one to share. It has a naturally sweet taste but not overpowering. It was enjoyed by all of us.

Reduce-Reuse-Recycle

I like that the republic of tea informed me on their packaging that only sustainable ingredients are used for this tea and they suggested saving this recyclable, airtight container to store refills. I already save tea containers for teas or other storage.

Thanks Republic of Tea. It’s another tea for me!

  1. I also like to enjoy my tea time every day, but I haven’t try Blackberry Sage Tea yet. I think I can add it to my tea collection and my self-care routine.
