When you need a warm brew or two-Twinings holiday tea selection is to the rescue 

I needed to do another quick World Market trip this week. I walked in the store with my game face on and repeating my mantra “I will not buy more tea-I will not buy more tea” but…”oh look what I’ve found”. There it was, the Twinings holiday tea display. This bright and colorful display was very appealing.  The tea choices were Winter Spice, Holiday Berry and Christmas Tea. How could I resist? After much deliberation I finally chose Winter Spice mostly for the name and blue, wintery packaging. This method of tea selection has not failed me yet.

A few days later I realized these holiday teas would be great tea sachets for holiday gifts and stocking stuffers. I could put a combination of each of the tea sachets together for all of my friends and family to try.  I headed back to World Market to pick up the other teas on the display, Holiday Berry and Christmas tea. When I was there though I found yet another tea and a new Sticky Fingers scone package!!! Ahh! I should be banished from that store!

Twinings holiday teas

These individual holiday teas have such cute packaging.  They can easily be given as a gift alone. They each hold 20 teabags. Now you know I can not give a tea to anyone until I’ve tried it so I let the brewing begin.

The packaging states this tea is the perfect way to brighten up your day and spread some holiday cheer.

There is also another tea according to the packaging-Peppermint Cheer but that was not on the display

My husband was out of town so my topnotch reviewers this week were my hot tea drinking daughter and myself. We brewed all of the teas with fresh water and for 4 minutes per the packaging directions. The directions also said they can be brewed until desired strength and not to microwave. 

Here are our thoughts.

Winter Spice

We loved the smell. True chamomile tea that is not overpowered with the other flavors. A treat for any chamomile lover.

Holiday Berry

Fruity scent-very appealing. This is a yummy hibiscus tea. The other fruit flavors did not make this over sweet. It is a very enjoyable tea. I can see this one on my rotation.

Christmas Tea 

This is a yummy mild black tea with the true smell and delicate taste of cinnamon and cloves. It does not need to have milk added but I added a dash to see if I would like it that way also and I did. I will also drink this one again.

These 3 teas were all yummy and will be a wonderful combination of teas for my stockings and gift idea. These will also be a new holiday teas for myself.

So as the weather starts to get chilly for us in Central Texas and probably a little chillier in other places I think a cup or 2 of any of any of these teas will definitely be a welcome treat.  Let me know if you have the chance to try any of them.
