Sips by Subscription for Tea

I have been on a crazy, busy and fun tea adventure lately. I have joined a fabulous new tea site on Facebook where all we do is discuss tea. I was also interviewed about my blog and all things tea. I have purchased a bunch of tea, picked up a new tea cup and I signed up for and received my very first subscription tea box from Sips by. Anyone for tea?

Sips by

You guys know I love samples and sampler packs like David’s Tea-less buyers remorse. That’s what Sips by does. It is a monthly subscription site offering 4 tea samples from over 150 companies put together just for me-we were a match made in Heaven.

How Sip by works

I hopped on the Sips by website and filled out a simple questionnaire about my tea preferences. Their questions included:

  • Caffeine level preferred
  • Types of tea enjoyed (or not)
  • Any herbal blend
  • Choice of tea bag, sachet or loose leaf
  • How often you drink tea
  • Dietary restrictions
  • Any allergies

My answers

I wanted a tea with a mix of caffeine levels as well as herbal blends. I wanted some loose as well as sachet and bagged tea. I left it extremely open and chose the option Just Send Me Tea.

My package

When it arrived I rapidly opened my box! On top was a note

MADE FOR DENISE

Description of teas in a Sips by subscription box

The note described what teas I received and some information on them including caffeine levels, the flavors and how to brew. They also had a code for each tea if I decided to make a larger purchase of a certain tea with a percentage off.

TEA!

I received

Tulsi Peppermint made by Organic India-a tea bag

Super-Caffeinated Morninga Infusion by Miracle Tree (a green tea with lemon and ginger) a tea sachet

White Peach tea by Davidson’s-a tea bag

Paris by Harney and Sons-loose leaf

Also included was a reusable muslin cloth tea bag with disposable bags inside it.

Surprise!

When I signed up for Sips by I thought I was getting just 4 teas, instead I received 4 of each different type of bagged and sachet tea. and a larger bag of the loose leaf-I guess now I may share. So this amount of the different types of tea make approximately 15 cups of tea for $15 a month. I signed up for a 3 month subscription but there are 1, 3, 6, or 12 month options (the more months the lower cost).

Gift packages

On the Sips by website you can also purchase 1 time tea gift packages. This is a great idea for yourself or any tea lover in your life. Some of the boxes are the Rainy Day Tea Box, Wellness Tea Box, Iced tea box, Bridal Tea Box-there are tons to choose from. There is also an option to have a Best Of Sips by Box sent. This would be just like the subscription box-you could even include a Sips by gift card if you are stumped on a tea gift.

Other things you can purchase on their website are teas, mugs and other tea accessories.
