Iced tea and Texas go hand in hand. Recently I was told about an iced tea franchise that opened in May in San Antonio and I had to check it out. Unfortunately, Covid-19 has gotten a boost here in Texas so we didn’t stop in for tea and instead grabbed some HTeaO to go.
HTeaO
According to signage HTeaO started in Texas in 2009. These franchises have taken their iced tea throughout Texas with multiple locations. Luckily we now have this one in San Antonio.
HTeaO Drive Through
You would think that opening during Covid could have been bad timing for HTeaO but this place is popular! There were a few customers that went in for tea but the rest of us sat patiently in the super long drive through line. I was hoping this would be worth it.
The menu
According to their menu the tea is brewed hourly. There are 22 flavors including sweet and unsweet tea. There are also options of decaf and green tea.
Would you like some fruit with that?
You can also add 2oz of oranges, lemons, and lime for free to your tea or for an extra $0.75 other fruit selections. Tea cup sizes range from small to a gallon.
Our thoughts
The line went through pretty fast. My husband chose the unsweet mint tea with oranges and I went with the unsweet wild raspberry and added blueberries. These teas were not only refreshing, they were delicious. I purchased a medium and the cup is huge! When I got home I shared with my iced tea drinking daughter and hot tea drinking daughter and still had a ton of tea for myself. My girls, my husband and I all thought the teas were winners. So HTeaO is a definite place we will return to.
Tea Combo
I did read that tea combos can be made with the various teas. That would be so fun to do on a future date. They say there could possibly be 500 flavor combinations.

Future outtings
For tubing, day trips or get togethers- HTeaO could be your number one stop. They sell cases of bottled water, 10 lb bags of crushed or cubed ice and of course yummy tea. They even sell Yeti merchandise so there may be a cooler to go.

With these long, hot summer days I would definitely recommend stopping by HTeaO. Even if it is to go. There is talk of another location opening in San Antonio-I’ll keep you posted.
