It’s my birthday month! In celebration I have decided that a new tea or tea related item is needed to be tried daily until my actual birthday. That’s not too different from my non birthday months!! Anyway I recently heard about teas you could buy based on your zodiac sign. What else was this Virgo to do than go down that rabbit hole. I ended at Adagio tea and discovered a world of Fandom teas-custom tea blends made by tea loving fans. Let the zodiac tea search begin.
Adagio site
Adagio carries their own wide variety of teas and teaware but they also allow anyone to experiment to create their own custom tea blend. What started as one quick search for my zodiac tea led me to bouncing around for over an hour looking at individual tin and sets of Fandom tea blends. There are custom Fandom blends based on Harry Potter, Dr Who, Tea for Travelers, Hamilton and so many more. If you are interested in a tea based on your favorite show or activity there is probably a Fandom blend made for it.
Sampler tins
Fandom tea custom created blends are made with loose tea in the cutest sampler tins, 3oz packs or 5oz tins. You know how I prefer non buyers remorse so the sampler was for me. For $5 each these cute sample tins are a great addition to any tea collection and I did not mind picking up 1 or 2 or….3. I chose my Virgo tea and a few others including some Adagio vanilla chai.
Zodiac teas
There were a few Fandom tea blends for each zodiac sign. I looked around until I found the flavor profile I thought I would enjoy as my Virgo tea. Fandom tea blend had the description of the tea, who created it, how to brew it with temperature of water and time to steep.

Virgo Fandom tea
My tea was absolutely delicious-from the smell, to the color, to the taste. It was a perfect combination. This easily gave me enough for 6 maybe 8 cups of tea depending on mug/cup size. Depending on how you like your tea you may be able to get 1 or 2 cups more.
Point system
When a fandom tea is sold the creator of the tea can either get points towards other teas or can have 5% donated to a charity.
Tea gifts
These Fandom tea samplers are absolutely perfect tea gifts. You can find a ton to choose from or create your own. You can buy one or a whole set of blends based on things like Game of Thrones or even Pride and Prejudice.
Blending Your Own
If you do decide to try and blend your own Fandom tea with Adagio their site tells you how to step by step. I may have to check into that sometime. They do recommend that if you do decide to make your own, before telling Aunt Mable, your co-workers, and friends you may want to try your creation first as not all teas end up being absolute hits.
My Adagio surprise
On a side note-when my package from Adagio first arrived it also included a box that said to not open until September 6th. I waited patiently until the 6th (2 days). That box provided me with a full week of individual teas! Yay! I’m not sure if it was Birthday month tea but that’s how I used it. I am super happy for trying Adagio and discovering Fandom teas. There will be additional purchases-and possible creations made with them in the future.
