Tea in Texas Lady Bird Earl Grey a cow milk container and mint

Some like it cold and some like it Hot-Earl Grey that is

It is HOT in central Texas right now. Today was only 93 degrees! On my walk earlier it felt like my feet were burning through my shoes. Note to self-go on a walk earlier-especially when tomorrow’s high is 102 degrees. In this heat a nice iced-tea is needed. Now I love Stash Wild Raspberry Hibiscus as an iced tea-even as an adult beverage but I wanted to try something new and opted for Lady Bird Earl Grey by Tea in Texas.

Tea at the Hotel Emma

I first discovered Lady Bird Earl Grey when visiting the Hotel Emma in San Antonio for a High tea. The hotel had a variety of other teas and yummy small bites. I had the tea hot that day. Unfortunately the Hotel Emma stopped doing this event.

The Tea Crate

I found this tea again at The Tea Crate-a cute tea shop serving afternoon tea and high teas. I had to buy some to bring home. Shopping in my own pantry again this week there it was waiting for me to try.

Lady Bird Earl Grey

I would not have thought of this being an iced tea but reading the packaging I was given directions for both options. They are in Texas after all so they know when cold drinks are needed.

The Packaging

Lady Bird Earl Grey came in a cute tin with 3 oz of loose tea. The packaging had the state of Texas in its logo and showing that the tea company was established in 2010.

The company is based out of Houston and says the tea is Handcrafted in Texas and made with local Texas herbs

They describe a little information of how Lady Bird Johnson a Texas native and wife of President Johnson created a nature conservatory of beautiful Texas Wildflowers.

The packaging states this tea is for a new victorian teatime

This part I love the best, it says-Kick off your boots and enjoy a steep.

I have a problem

Do you ever think you have a problem when you have so many infusers you are not sure which one to use? I decided to put my Texas tea into a tea gift that looks like a Dalek.

Do I add a splash of milk?

My top notch crew got together again-my husband, hot tea drinking daughter as well as my non hot tea drink daughter and myself. Well the smell of this tea is super yummy! We instantly want to try it. Thoughts-My husband preferred it plan-and even though it was good I added some milk-and it was a treat. A definite yes for a hot (or cold) day.

Website

Check out their website to find out all about them and where to locally find their tea-but you can find them through their site also.

Unfortunately Covid19 has affected many businesses so I am not sure if Tea Crate in San Antonio will open again. I do hope so. I will let you know.

Do you have a favorite iced tea?
