Get Wild for Tazo Wild Sweet Orange tea

Hitting our local H-E-B for our weekly shopping trip has really become an adventure. Heading out with a mask on, a full grocery list (that always has one or two teas on it) and staying 6 feet apart has just become the norm. When grabbing some Tazo Zen and H-E-B Cucumber Mint on this week’s shopping journey I was once again struck by the package of a new tea by Tazo and I knew that Wild Sweet Orange was a new one to try.  I really am starting to think we are the reason that the tea aisles need to be restocked.

Wild Sweet Orange packaging

So once again I used my scientific method in choosing this tea by liking the bright packaging, that method has not failed me so far. What I did not realize at the start of my tea journey is that there is way more to tea packaging than just how to brew tea and ingredients. The immediate description on this package states Wild Sweet orange is an herbal tea to “thrill your tastebuds” It is an infusion of orange peel, lemon grass, citrus herbs and licorice root and the package holds 20 tea bags. Simple enough and sounds yummy.

Music to my ears

Then the  package also included that Wild Sweet Orange is like being in a magical orange grove full of the ripest, juiciest oranges but instead of using a ladder to get the fruit you plug in your electric guitar, blast the volume until there is orange everywhere.  Infusing those oranges with the other ingredients is music to your ears…and taste buds.

Curious and Curiouser

It also states that they are always searching, curious and questioning aromas and flavors to dive in and stir things up when making new blends. Being half curious kid, half intrepid explorer, half undaunted alchemist (yes they know that is one and a half) I’m sure the Mad Hatter would love that! I know I do.

Our thoughts

I had my top tea reviewers try Wild Sweet Orange. I put mine in an individual serve teapot-just to make it fun. This tea had a delicious aroma and is a beautiful color after the 5 minute brew. My hot tea drinking daughter really liked Wild Sweet Orange hot. It has a yummy sweet and sour flavor. My husband was not so much of a fan of the sour in the hot tea bur I also put some over ice and we all enjoyed that-what a great cool down tea in this Texas heat. It was well worth putting on the mask to get this tea.

Tea Masks

My life is all tea all the time and I have some sweet, thoughtful, crafty friends that have made me some face masks with tea designs-I even received one of a journey in Wonderland that someone found on Etsy. So even though these are crazy times please stay safe, wear your mask, be well and enjoy tons of tea.

Do you have any fun masks?
