P-G Tips tea in a tin, with 2 loose tea bags, milky tea in a flower cup and a white teapot with a red and white tea cosy on it

A Day In My Tea Life

The most favorite thing in my day is my very first yummy milky large cup of  P-G Tips. No one should speak to me until the last drop. It is absolute Heaven. When I woke up this morning though disaster struck. I did my normal ritual: 2 teabags in my teapot that is only used for this tea, covering my pot with a tea cozy and brewing my tea for about 4 minutes. Nothing strange there. Then I went to add a ton of milk to make this another great start of my day, I opened the fridge AND THERE WAS NO MILK!!!!!!! I had no clue what to do!!

There was no time to think about who in this house of 4 could have sabotaged me, so in a panic I threw in the rest of the carton of almond milk in my tea. Even though Almond Milk is fine in my occasional cup of coffee, my oatmeal and even my Matcha from Revolucion Coffee Shop it was a hard no in my PG Tips-this definitely wasn’t my cup of tea!

Luckily, at that moment my non hot tea drinking daughter came stumbling sleepily downstairs in search of coffee. She quickly found out the dilemma of the Teagate sabotage. Her solution-she was going to go and buy milk. This was music to my ears- what an amazing child. 2 cups of my yummy tea later my life was finally back on track. I also had the added bonus of now having a gallon of milk. I was set for the day.

In the afternoon I fancied another tea (I know big surprise). I raided my tea stash in the pantry and came across a tea I had been given but had not tried. It complimented my newest tea gift which is a teapot shaped tea dish with the wording “Relax, Unwind, Get In An Herbal State of Mind”. I decided Revolution Honeybush Caramel herbal tea would do the trick. Maybe it could give me insight to my morning tea saboteur.

Revolution Honeybush Caramel Tea

According to the packaging this is caffeine free herbal tea and the box carries 16 pyramid tea bags. The packaging was cute with the tea cup, teabag and flowers. The packaging states that the Honeybush Caramel is a treat after any meal or evening treat. They state the Rooibos provides more antioxidants than green tea. The packaging also states that their gung ho gurus of tea improved the process of making tea by introducing the first flow through infuser bag that captures the superior full leaf flavor.

Thoughts

I decided late afternoon worked as a good time for me to try this tea. I assembled my top notch team together once again. It had a great Rooibos deep red color and smelled like honey and the caramel was mild but it was an enjoyable tea. It was given a definite yes and a new one to add to the list.

Milk saboteur

So finally sitting and enjoying my yummy new tea it hit me like a TV detective who the saboteur in Teagate was.

Was it my husband? After 20 years I think he knows-me without my tea is not a good combination. So no to him.

Was it my non hot tea drinking daughter? She was just as alarmed as I was about the milk. So no to her.

Wow-was it my youngest? Did my hot tea drinking daughter  get up early and make tea? She’s already in summer sleep mode-so not her.

Well that only leaves……….I looked at the shopping list on my phone and it boldly stated BUY MILK.. So-yes-it was me. I’m never making that mistake again!

Happy tea drinking friends no matter what the tea.
