The Honey Bean Coffee and Tea co red trailer

Honey Bean Coffee and Tea Co

I had no idea that a tea surprise was in store for me on a 6 hour road trip through Texas. With chai on my mind and not a Starbucks in sight I was at a loss. I knew filling up for gas was in my near future and truck stop coffee was not going to hit the spot. I did a quick search for close by tea to go and I’m glad it led me to a little red trailer and Honey Bean Coffee and Tea in Junction, Texas.

Junction

Just off I-10 and on the Llano river is Junction, Texas. Junction according to Google is about 1 hour 45 minutes from San Antonio. Although I have been there many times for gas I had never ventured any further into town. To my surprise just on the other side of the highway was this not so hidden tea gem.

Location, Location, Location

As my husband and I had a bit of time a slight detour did not extend the length of our travel time so we ventured off I10.  Highway 481 took us across the river and straight to the actual town of Junction. We headed down main street straight to the little red trailer. The cool part-right beyond the trailer itself was almost immediate access back to I-10.

This little red trailer was amazing-there is literally a coffee or tea for everyone-their coffee and tea selection was huge! Iced teas, hot teas, lattes, mochas, cappuccinos the list went on and on. I went with a Chai latte I had been craving and my husband ordered the London Fog but the Cardamom lavender latte sounded devine. We also picked a biscotti-their hatch scones also sounded really delicious but they were sold out.

They have a frequent sipper program and their facebook site lets you know the pastry selections for the day. They also have merch so a t-shirt was added to my order.

After our pick up we hopped immediately on I-10 and was on our way.

The people of Junction are really lucky to have this little treat in their town but if you are ever heading near Junction whether you have 5 minutes or 5 hours I would recommend a stop by Honey Bean coffee and tea-it’s definitely worth the trip.
