I love introducing friends to new teas I try. I have attended social events with little baggies of teas to hand out. A recent batch of my prepared David’s Tea baggies were Roobios Chai, Buddha’s Blend and one of my favorites- Cream of Earl Grey.
Cream of Earl Grey
I have never been a huge Earl Grey fan. I would drink it but it was not one of my top tea choices as so many were too perfumy. On my tea journey though I have found a few I really like and one of them is Cream of Earl Grey by David’s Tea. I found their Cream of Earl Grey on a trip to Chicago and I’ve been hooked ever since.
The Journey of my Earl Grey
Recently my non hot tea drinking daughter returned from college with tins of Cream Earl Grey and Pumpkin Chai in hand. She wanted to make sure the tea containers would not get too banged up so she put them in her carry on. Very thoughtful. TSA decided to pull her and the tea aside. Oops. I’m not sure if they sampled any of the tea but I know that they would have enjoyed them. Anyway next time on her travels my daughter has decided that she is going to put any tea she purchases for me in her checked luggage.
When my tea arrived I could not wait to put my kettle on. The Cream of Earl Grey came in David’s Tea signature silver container. It smells amazing. I popped 3 perfect spoons into my glass teapot.

Top Notch Reviewers
I assembled my top tea reviewers for this tea, my husband, hot tea drinking daughter and myself. We were joined by a special guest to also review was hot tea drinking Grandad. I let it brew for 5 minutes. We had ours with milk, our guest had it plain.
Our Review
Our opinion is that this is a yummy tea. It had a Vanilla, floral taste and it is very smooth. I think it has a slight taste of aniseed or licorice but that’s not listed and none of the others tasted it. It was a huge hit. No wonder I like it as a constant in my tea cabinet.
One of the things I have discovered though is that this tea is a love it or hate it tea. Well it is an Earl Grey after all.
Do you like Earl Grey tea? Any particular type?
This sounds very tasty! I’d love to try it. Sounds more “gentle” than regular old Earl Grey. Thank you, Denise!!!
It is super yummy!
